  • new year's resolutions for 2008

I have three this year - well really two and then the last one is a hope more than a resolution.

one is to practice hospitality by hosting a few sunday soirees throughout the year. I used to do this a lot when I was at berkeley and hand no one else to take care of but me. I stopped doing that in LA because first I had no friends to invite then a year later my mom got really sick and past away and I took over a lot of her responsibilities in taking care of my family and it was a huge adjustment for me. This year is the first year I really feel as if I have a handle on things with my family so I can open up my home to welcome other people. I really enjoy inviting a few friends both new and old and serving a home cooked meal. So if you are swinging by LA, have not too picky taste buds, like to try eating Vietnamese food the truly traditional way, and don't mind being in a tiny little house, then let me know.  if your stomache is willing then I am inviting.

two is i'd like to learn a new outdoor sport called canyoneering. have you heard of it? A friend of mine introduced me to it and he's going to help me learn rock climbing and take me on a few trips.

three (this is more a hope not a resolution) is that I might actually find myself in a serious relationship. or given my track record on this, maybe i should set my hopes a little lower, cuz it would be considered a huge improvement if I could successfully date a guy continuously for more than three months!  I need lots of prayer! Help me GOD!

four- write regularly on Xanga so that far away friends can follow the cool things you do AND the cool things God continues to do with and through you!  Blessings in the new year!  ~Steph

I'm among the least picky person you'd meet... I sometimes eat weeks- even months-old food LOL
